The Asian Resource Centre for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ARCCN)

The Asian Resource Centre for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ARCCN) was initiated in 2015 by the Indian Council for Child Welfare-Tamil Nadu (ICCWTN), a non-governmental organization registered in the State of Tamil Nadu, India. This was accomplished with the initial support of the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN), an international organization with its headquarters in the United States of America.

The Indian Council for Child Welfare, Tamil Nadu, India (ICCW – TN) is a non-profit, voluntary organization established in 1954 with the mandate to work for the welfare, development, and rights of all persons under 18 years of age.

The Council has successfully initiated and completed several projects at the District and State levels to protect the rights of children, including the Right to Life, the Right to Education and Development, and the Right against Abuse and Exploitation of children in that region. The Council also has a well-established Information, Documentation, Research, and Training Centre, which has conducted several International, National, and regional workshops to promote child rights with a special focus on child protection issues. This Centre also has several publications to its credit
